The Summer Olympics may be over, but Paris is still in the spotlight. With the new season of Emily in Paris, we can't help but be obsessed with Emily’s adventures and the city’s irresistible je ne sais quoi. Beyond her chaotic love triangle, unpredictable marketing career and maximalist fashion, this season also brought some eccentric beauty looks. While we’ll leave the berets and bold prints to her, we’re definitely adding her beauty styles to our moodboard.
This season showcased a mix of no-makeup makeup looks and bolder styles—think glowing skin (thanks to excellent skincare), plenty of highlighter and striking beauty moments. Our favorite look, and one that lead makeup artist Aurélie Payen also loved most, was Emily’s black-and-white catsuit from the masquerade ball. It featured graphic eyeliner and a bold lip, complete with a cape, hat and mask. Read on to discover how you can recreate this look with just four products for your next night out.

Base
Since this look is all about channeling '90s vintage glam, a matte base is the ideal choice. To recreate it, opt for a hydrating, medium-coverage foundation that dries matte and lasts long. The updated Bobbi Brown Weightless Skin Natural Matte Finish Foundation is a great choice. Additionally, you can prep your skin using a primer and use concealer for spot correction. Remember to blend thoroughly—using a wet sponge can help achieve an airbrushed effect.
Eyes
While this striking graphic liner may look challenging, it only requires a bold wing and two perfectly centered dots under the eyes. We recommend using a liquid liner for precision; the M.A.C Brushstroke Eyeliner is a great pick. You can apply a nude eyeshadow beforehand and a volumising mascara afterwards, depending on how standout you'd like the eyes to be.
Lips
For the lips, a matte wine-red lipstick is the way to go. The shade Famous from Huda Beauty’s Liquid Matte range is a close match. Makeup artist Payen shared that she used a lip contouring technique to make the shade appear darker than it is. To do the same, you can pair the lipstick with a darker lip liner for additional dimension and effect.
Hair
The '90s supermodel bob was the final element that tied the whole look together effortlessly. With its voluminous, well-styled blowout and an off-centre part, this hairstyle was the perfect match for classic retro glam. For those who struggle with volume or simply want some extra bounce, the Kevin Murphy Anti-Gravity Spray Volume Spray is a must-have. As the name suggests, it keeps your curls looking fresh and spruced up all night long. If your hair is straight or loosely wavy, a heat protectant, an effective curler and a setting spray can work wonders.
