Pour your drinks, lay out the table and bring out the card games — the festive season has finally arrived. Between shopping for gifts, curating dinner menus, and sending out invites, don’t forget to plan your hair and makeup look. While your signature look is always going to be a winner, it doesn’t hurt to switch things up a little during the festive season (it’s the perfect time to grab the spotlight, after all!). If you’re a serial party guest, that’s all the more reason to try out different looks every evening. Below, we’ve rounded up our favourite celebrity inspired makeup looks to inspire you for your next party, plus our top tips on how to recreate them.
Alia Bhatt’s ultra-glowy glass skin
This simple yet sophisticated look draws attention to a super-dewy, ultra-glossy base, by keeping the eye and lip makeup minimal and pared back.
Base:
To recreate this look, getting the skin prep right is key. Start with a freshly cleansed face and apply hyaluronic acid serum onto damp skin for an instant shot of hydration. Follow up with your favourite moisturiser to get your skin bouncy and supple. Next, apply a strobe cream all over your face, focusing on the high points such as the cheekbones and forehead for added luminosity. Apply a sheer skin tint, BB cream or concealer to cover up blemishes. Pick a liquid or cream blush in a peachy nude shade to add a healthy flush of colour to your cheeks. Remember to set your look with a glowy setting spray to really nail that almost juicy looking complexion.
Eyes: Apply a nude base eyeshadow shade across your lids. Next, add gold shimmer on the inner corners of your eyes to really brighten them up. Finish with a volumizing mascara and brushed out brows.
Lips: Keep your lips looking simple yet juicy for this look. Apply a nourishing lip balm and wipe off excess. Define your lips with a nude lip liner of your choice and finish with a buttery nude gloss.

Ananya Pandey’s bronzed, sculpted look
Perfect for evening soirees and after-parties alike, this look features a sun-kissed, bronzed complexion along with kohl-lined, brown smoky eyes for that added festive oomph
Base:
Start with a clean, moisturised canvas and apply a medium or full coverage foundation all over your face and neck. Next, apply concealer to brighten the under-eye area and conceal any blemishes if you wish to. Sculpt and contour your face with a matte or shimmery bronzer, laying particular emphasis on your cheeks, jawline and nose for that sun-kissed radiance. Finish off with a subtle dust of shimmer highlighter on your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose.
Eyes:
Pick your favourite brown eyeshadow palette to create this earthy smoky eye. Apply a matte shade of dark brown all across your lids, especially towards the outer corner. Pat on some shimmery gold eyeshadow on the inner corners and blend it out for instant brightening effect. Define with a black liner and kohl pencil, keeping the lines thin and precise. Brush out your brows and fill in any sparse areas with a brow pencil for well-defined arches. Finish with a lengthening mascara.
Lips:
Define your pout with a creamy brownish nude lip liner, and apply a satin cream lipstick in a similar shade to finish your lip makeup.

Deepika Padukone’s fiery red lips
A classic red lip is always a foolproof winner when it comes to festive makeup looks. Throw in bold, well-defined brows and an ultra-luminous complexion, and you’ve got a look that’s guaranteed to make maximum impact with minimum effort.
Base: On a cleansed, moisturised face, apply an illuminating primer followed by a dewy foundation for a long-lasting base. Next, brighten the under-eye area with a concealer. With a light hand, brush some bronzer below your cheekbones, across your forehead and your jaw line to nail that snatched, sculpted effect. Finish off with a pearlescent highlighter dusted across the high points of your face like your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose.
Eyes: Start by neatly combing your brows and filling in any sparse areas with an eye brow gel. Next, dust off some bronze eyeshadow across your eye lids and blend well to achieve a diffused look. Line your upper lashline with a black eyeliner, and apply a brown kohl pencil to define your lower lashline. Finish with two coats of a volumizing mascara for dreamy, fanned-out lashes.
Lips: For this fiery red pout, pick your favourite red lip liner and draw along the natural contours of your lip to create definition. Fill in with a matte liquid lipstick in an orange-ish red hue to get heads turning.
